The Spider's Web

A vision whilst praying on the 19th June 2020

I saw a vision of a spiders web... it was very very fine so you could hardly see it. Gradually it began to accumulate different insects...etc & was successful in trapping a lot of things one by one but didn't bend under the weight. Then suddenly from the bottom right a huge orange/brown coloured spider with black markings came into view & snatched the whole web into it's mouth completely devouring it & everything caught on it. The sudden speed & the scary appearance of the spider actually made me jump back & open my eyes.

I prayed further & gained the understanding that this is an illustration of how the devil is real & actvely watching & studying us from a hidden view, as in a corner out of sight staring at us attentively & menacingly, full of hate... just like that huge spider was there always fixated on the web.
The web is the devices of the devil, basically sins to entice us & distractions which take us away from the true God. Just as the web is very fine, we don't always see how deadly sin is until it's too late - it is a trap & a prerequisite to being destroyed by the devil & separated from God. We should never play around with the web as we could easily get stuck & devoured by the spider in waiting...

"Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Ephesians 6:11-12 (NASB)

"so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes."

2 Corinthians 2:11 (NASB)

"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is."

Ephesians 5:15-17 (ESV)

"For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds,"

2 Corinthians 10:4 (AMPC)
